Homemade Latte (Without an Espresso Machine)

- Tuscan milk
- Espresso or strongly brewed hot coffee
- Unsweetened cocoa or ground nutmeg, if desired
- Pour milk into glass jar with lid, filling no more than half way; cover tightly. Shake jar vigorously until milk is frothy and roughly doubles in volume (30 to 60 seconds). Remove lid; microwave 30 seconds to heat milk.
- Pour espresso or strong coffee into coffee cup or mug filling approximately 1/3 full. Using large spoon to hold back foam, pour warm milk into coffee filling to level desired. Spoon foam on top of coffee. Sprinkle with unsweetened cocoa or nutmeg, if desired.
